Working Days Countdown (Excluding Weekends & Holidays)

Pick a target date and see how many working days you have left, with a live clock. Weekends and national public holidays are excluded, so the number means "days at your desk".

Settings

Default: today is not counted, the target day is — "how many more working days do I have to get through".

Countdown

Holiday rules version . National / federal holidays only — add regional or company days in the custom box. Everything runs in your browser; nothing is uploaded.

A countdown that skips the weekend

Ordinary countdown clocks count every day, which is fine for a birthday but not for a deadline, a product launch, the end of the financial year or your last day before retirement. This countdown excludes weekends and public holidays, so if the target is 30 calendar days away it will tell you there are, say, 21 working days left — and which holidays are in between.

The clock underneath ticks down the calendar time to the start of the target day in your local time zone. The working-day number updates each time you open the page, and the share link reproduces the same target and settings for a colleague.

How the count works

By default today is not counted and the target day is, which matches the everyday meaning of "how many more working days do I have to get through". Both can be switched. Public holidays follow the national calendar of the country you choose (United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia or Germany); add company shutdown days or regional holidays in the custom box, one per line.

Ready-made countdowns

For common targets we keep pages with the number already worked out — for example working days until December 31, 2026 and working days until Christmas 2026. See the full list of working days until… pages.
